Sopra Steria Next Belgium hosts its first EU event

| minute read

End of May, Sopra Steria Next Belgium reached an important milestone by hosting its very first external event, co-organised with the Cercle Francophone des Affaires Européennes (CFAE). The event brought together experts, representatives of the European institutions, and colleagues from across the Group to discuss a key topic: the future Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2028–2034 of the European Union.

Participants had the privilege of engaging with Alexandre Adam, Deputy Head of Cabinet of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, on the strategic priorities that will shape Europe's future over the coming years. He was introduced by Kurt Cogghe, MD Sopra Steria Belux.

Far more than a budgetary exercise, the next MFF will define the investments and strategic choices supporting Europe's competitiveness, sovereignty, green and digital transitions, security, defence, and strategic autonomy.

This event marks an important milestone for Sopra Steria Next Belgium, increasing its visibility within the European ecosystem while showcasing the Group's strong international dimension. The participation of colleagues from Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands highlighted the strength of our European collaboration and enriched the discussions with diverse perspectives and expertise.

These priorities strongly resonate with the projects Sopra Steria Next supports every day across the European Institutions, particularly in the fields of digital transformation, public sector modernisation, technological sovereignty, and Europe's long-term resilience.

This strong commitment within Sopra Steria Next Belux is led by Edouard Dumonceau, whom co-organised the event with Roberto de Primis (CFAE).
