Brussels, 6 October 2025 – Sopra Steria has been awarded the Security-as-a-Service (SecAAS) 2 Lot 2 Control & Audit contract by the FPS Finance, enabling up to 95 federal institutions to access cybersecurity inspection and audit services. The contract, with an initial duration of seven years and the possibility of two one-year extensions, will play a central role in increasing the cyber resilience of Belgian society.

The SECaaS2 framework supports federal entities in complying with the NIS2 directive, GDPR and other European and Belgian regulations. By ensuring conformity, it provides long-term continuity in the protection of critical government operations and reinforces Belgium’s ambition to become one of the most secure countries in the EU.

A strategic step for Belgium’s digital security

Cybersecurity has become a fundamental requirement for protecting digital lives, economies and even physical safety. With threats becoming more advanced and the stakes higher than ever, Sopra Steria will provide highly skilled cybersecurity experts and proven methodologies to help federal institutions strengthen their defences and meet the highest international standards.

Sopra Steria was selected for this contract based on its deep expertise in cybersecurity and its longstanding experience supporting governments and European institutions in their digital transformation. The company combines a strong local presence in Belgium with recognized capabilities in areas such as risk management, compliance, and security auditing. Its track record in delivering complex, large-scale programmes for the public sector has made Sopra Steria a trusted partner for secure and resilient digital infrastructures.

“This contract highlights the government’s commitment to raising cybersecurity to the highest standards, and Sopra Steria is proud to contribute to this ambition,” said Karim Azer-Nessim, Cybersecurity Director, Sopra Steria Belux. “Through our experience and expertise, we will help ensure that Belgian federal institutions are ready to face today’s and tomorrow’s cyber challenges.”

This contract win not only strengthens Sopra Steria’s footprint in Belgium’s public sector, but also advances its strategic priority in cybersecurity, reinforcing its role as a partner of choice for secure, and sustainable digital infrastructures.
