Brussels, 2 March 2026

Following the summons issued by the police and received on 2 March 2026, and last Friday’s parliamentary hearing, Sopra Steria has decided to initiate legal proceedings on Monday 2 March to contest the attribution of responsibility to the company for the unilateral termination of the i-Police programme in December 2025.

From the outset, Sopra Steria has acted constructively and transparently, consistently prioritising dialogue and cooperation.

However, the unilateral termination of the programme, together with the recent public disclosure of partial information, has led to Sopra Steria being publicly criticised based on a partial and unbalanced presentation of the facts, with potential implications for its reputation.

In these circumstances, legal action represent the appropriate framework in which the facts and responsibilities can be examined fully and objectively.

Sopra Steria takes this step with regret, yet with confidence and composure in the impartial examination of the facts.

This action is not intended as a confrontation. Its sole purpose is to ensure that the matter is assessed independently, fairly and in accordance with the law, with full respect for the rights of all parties involved.
