“We are proud to have contributed to securing infrastructure and protecting the public during this summer’s Paris Olympic Games. Meeting this challenge required adapting to the diversity of intervention locations while accounting for large crowds and the particularly complex environments of various sites. With over 10 years of expertise in anti-drone operations and securing large-scale events, we were able to effectively support the security forces in ensuring everyone’s safety,” said Pierre Lopez, Managing Director of CS GROUP.
Among the 14 drone detection and neutralization systems deployed were several PARADE systems (developed in partnership with THALES LAS) and MILAD systems, operated by the French Air and Space Force, the French Army, and the French Navy. RADIANT systems, designed for the Paris Police Prefecture, were also used. Additionally, CS GROUP provided several lightweight systems to enhance coverage in dense urban areas. All deployed systems were integrated with the global anti-drone surveillance network established by the French Air and Space Force.
CS GROUP was active across numerous operational sites, assisting authorities with training, system deployment, and ongoing operational support—available seven days a week for on-the-ground teams.
BOREADES: A Sovereign Anti-Drone Solution
A pioneer in counter-drone technology in France, CS GROUP developed the BOREADES solution, which has been in use since 2015. It served as the foundation for the systems deployed this summer. BOREADES is a fully integrated solution offering high performance and automation, from drone detection to neutralization. Its modular design and multiple configurations (both heavy and light) make it adaptable to various environments—from military installations to major public events, including airports and sensitive industrial sites.
“The strength of our approach lies in the modularity and high performance of our systems. We were able to deploy a range of complementary solutions, from lightweight to robust, tailored to the specific requirements of each site. The experience gained during the Olympic Games, along with our participation in NATO interoperability exercises, positions us for international expansion. We are now ready to meet the growing global threat posed by drones—serving armed forces, security agencies, and industrial partners alike,” concluded Pierre Lopez.
