Annual Sopra Steria Interconnection Box Summit

Brussels, | minute read

Fruitful gathering to discuss and exchange the future of Sopra Steria Interconnection Box.

On Thursday, December 13th the annual Sopra Steria Interconnection Box (SIB)* summit was held at Sopra Steria Benelux Headquarters. It was the opportunity to exchange about the SIB roadmap and initiate discussions on recent proposals from the European Union.

Several new regulations have been or are about to be adopted by the EU in the fields of law enforcement cooperation and border management. Three new large information systems (Entry Exit, ETIAS, ECRIS-TCN) will be newly created and current systems, including SIS II, will be updated and extended.

The summit gathered around 40 participants, coming from different countries. They had the occasion to discuss the challenges ahead, discover how Sopra Steria can help them to achieve the new requirements and exchange with us and their European counterparts during a casual walking diner.

* What is SIB?

The Sopra Steria Interconnection Box (SIB) is a highly secure pre-packaged software solution for migrating and integrating the national law enforcement information systems with the central servers developed by the European Agency for the operational management of large-scale IT Systems(eu-LISA).
