Rules of participation

Contest

By entering this contest (the "Contest"), the participant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by the following terms and conditions of participation (hereinafter the “Terms”):

1. Organiser

The Job Fair Competition (hereinafter the "Contest") is organised by Sopra Steria Benelux SA with registered office at Avenue Fraiteur 15-23, 1050 Bruxelles Belgium, and registered with the Crossroad Bank for Enterprises under number 0474.817.275, and by Sopra Steria Netherlands N.V., with registered office at Ringwade 1, 3439 LM Nieuwegein and registered with the Chamber of Commerce with number 30086514.

Hereinafter all together referred to as the "Organiser".

2. Participants – eligibility criteria

The Contest aims to promote and raise awareness regarding Sopra Steria, our integration with Ordina and Tobania, and the fact that we are hiring interns and young graduates/professionals. The contest will run from the 1st of September 2024 until the 30th of June 2025, via a mailing campaign, targeting our student/young professional bucket; a (paid) social media campaign; and a physical campaign at our job fair booth, where participating in the contest will be possible by scanning the QR-code that will be displayed on a roll up and folder during the job fair. (as explained hereafter)

Any individual meeting the eligibility criteria (hereinafter referred to as a "Participant") can take part. The Organiser reserves the right to exclude any Participant on valid grounds.

These individual eligibility criteria are:

  • being 18 years of age or older;
  • being registered as a full-time student at a higher education institute or university in the Belux;
  • being a STEM (science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) student;
  • expecting to graduate in the upcoming year after filling in the contest form;
  • having completed the contest form that is accessible via a link/button in our mailing campaign and (paid) social media post; or that is accessible by scanning a QR-code on the roll up or folder for the physical campaign;
  • having agreed to the provisions of this form.

 

3. The Contest

3.1. Purpose: To create awareness regarding Sopra Steria and the fact that we are looking for interns and young graduated/professionals.

3.2. Duration: The contest will take place between the 1st of September 2024 and the 30th of June 2025 and will run via a mailing campaign, targeting our student/young professional bucket; a (paid) social media campaign; and a physical campaign at our job fair booth.

3.3. Participation & registration process: 

Participants can enter the contest by filling in the contest form. The information that is filled in via the form will be utilised to communicate with the participant regarding Sopra Steria news and potential future job opportunities. Additionally, participants must answer a question to qualify for entry into the Contest.

Participants can register through various channels: a mailing campaign targeting students and young professionals, a (paid) social media campaign, and in-person at our job fair booth. At the booth, participants can scan a QR-code displayed on a roll-up banner and folder to access the form.

Selection of the winner: The participants will be required to answer 1 question as part of the form submission process. Participants will be asked to provide an estimation of the number of people in the Benelux they believe will participate in the Contest. The winner of the Contest will be determined based on the individual who provides the closest estimation to the actual number of participants. The Organizer reserves the right to select the contest winner at its sole discretion, and this decision is final with no opportunity for appeal.

3.4. Registration process: Participants can enter the contest by filling in the contest form.

The Organiser reserves the right to select the winner of the contest at its sole discretion, and this decision is final with no opportunity for appeal.

4. Mandatory Participation in Promotional Campaign

By participating in this Contest, you acknowledge and agree that if you are selected as the winner of the Contest, you will be required to participate in promotional activities related to this Campaign, as set out herein.

These promotional activities include but are not limited to:

  • The Organizer reserves the right to interview the winner on camera.
  • The Organizer reserves the right to feature the name, photos, and videos of the winner using the tech goodie they won with this Contest.

These materials, including photographs, videos, and any other content may be used in the Organiser's internal and external communications across various channels, including but not limited to print, social media, the company website, mailing campaigns, and other marketing materials, at no charge for a period of ten years.

This use in any case includes, reproduction, distribution, publication, (public) display (with or without editing), storage, (public) projection and other forms of exploitation of the material to the extent compatible with the purpose.

5. Data Consent

By participating in this Contest, as Participants you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data by Sopra Steria Benelux SA, Sopra Steria Belgium, and Sopra Steria Netherlands for the following purposes:

  • Administration of the Contest: Participants' personal data will be used to manage and administer the Contest, including verifying eligibility, determining winners, and awarding prizes.
  • Promotional Activities: Participants' personal data may also be used for promotional activities related to the Contest, including, but not limited to, featuring the names of winners on the Organizer's website, social media channels, mailing campaigns, and other promotional materials.
  • Consent for Future Contact: In addition to participating in the Contest, Participants may choose to consent to future contact for other purposes. By checking the consent box, Participants agree to allow the Organiser to contact them for the following purposes:
    • Marketing information: Participants may receive updates and information about Sopra Steria.
    • Future Campaigns: Participants may be contacted about future promotional campaigns and contests.

Participants can choose to withdraw their consent for future contact at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any communication they receive. Please note that if you withdraw your consent on or prior to the 30th of June 2025 (end date of the Contest), you will automatically be withdrawn from the Contest.

Retention Period: Participants' personal data will be retained for the shorter of (i) the duration necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined above and in accordance with the Privacy Policy of Sopra Steria Benelux SA or (ii) the maximum duration allowed under applicable law.

Data Subject Rights: Participants' rights as data subjects are defined in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and are outlined in the Privacy Policy of Sopra Steria Benelux SA. These rights include, but are not limited to:

  • The right to withdraw consent for data processing.
  • The right to access their personal data.
  • The right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • The right to request the erasure of personal data.
  • The right to restrict or object to the processing of personal data.

6. Agreement

Participants are required to acknowledge their acceptance of the Terms. This acknowledgment will be included in the Contest entry form as checkboxes. By checking these boxes, Participants confirm their agreement to this document.

7. Prize

As the selected winner of the Contest, you will be awarded a 500 EUR voucher that can be used to select a tech goodie of choice such as an iPhone, VR glasses, drone, smartwatch, monitor, PlayStation, or similar item, based on availability and selection.

8. Liability

The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Contest at any time without liability, and for whatever reason. The Organiser shall in case of cancellation, not be held liable and disclaims all responsibility for any losses, damages, expenses, or injuries (whether direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential) arising from participation in the Contest, regardless of the cause.

9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

The Terms are subject to Dutch law. Any disputes arising under or in connection with the Terms shall be exclusively resolved by the courts of Utrecht, the Netherlands.
